The Red Devil Men's Soccer team travelled to Beatrice, Nebraska yesterday to take on the Storm of Southeast Community College. Allen came away with a 3-1 victory to seal up the number one seed for the Region Tournament. Allen got on the board in the 4th minute when Leonardo Andogini played a ball over the top to Thiago Fernandes who slotted the ball past the keeper to take a 1-0 lead. Southeast came back with a goal off a set piece in the 12th minute to tie the score at ones.
The rest of the half saw the Devil's control the possession and opportunities on goal, but couldn't find another goal. The second half started with the Devils controlling the action and creating multiple chances on goal. In the 66th minute Fernandes knocked one home off a rebounded shot by Tavar Lawrence to put Allen up 2-1. Romario Tomlinson finished the scoring in the 79th minute assisted by Kudawashe Chitani to seal the game at 3-1. Samuel Montenz played in goal and made 4 saves for the win.
The Red Devils will host a first round playoff game against Southeast Community College on Wednesday, 10/26 at 4pm.
