Red Devils Quiet The Storm

The Allen Red Devils got back in the win column with a decisive 82-51 over the Southeast CC Storm. The Red Devils jumped out to an 10-0 lead and never looked back from there. Allen was hot from the 3 point line the entire night. Tanner Meyer got the hot shooting started as he connected on 4 of 7 three point attempts for the game. Chris Dixon also knocked down a few early jumpers to give the Red Devils the early cushion. Allen's defense was also much improved as they only allowed the Storm to go 5 of 31 from the floor in the first half for 16%. The Red Devils would take a 22 point lead into halftime (42-20).

Allen quickly pushed their lead up to almost 30 points in the early going of the second half, but the Storm would pick up their pace on the offensive end and cut the lead back to 22 points. From there Allen would hold a steady lead around 25 points for the remainder of the contest.  The Storm would finish the game shooting 27.9% from the floor, and the Red Devils also won the rebounding battle by 10.

Chis Dixon led the way in scoring with 17 points for the Red Devils on 7-11 from the floor and 3-6 from the 3 point line. Ahmed Mahgoub scored 16 points on 6 of 10 from the floor. Tanner Meyer chipped in 14 points, and Donavan Seamster had his best game in a Red Devil uniform with 12 points. Seamster provided an offensive spark for Allen in the second half as he knocked down back to back 3 point attempts.
