National Championships Meet Recap

NJCAA Outdoor National Championships

The Red Devils capped the season off with some top performances at the NJCAA National Outdoor Championship. Both men and women left everything on the track as this year was one of the most competitive championships in recent years.

Felicity Watkins ran a huge personal best in the 100m with a time of 11.93 placing her 17th in the nation. Maddox Gomez competed hard as she finished 12th in the 400H with a time of 1:06.47. Elka Billings was determine to finish top 15 and placed 12th overall in the 10,000m with a time of 41:44.63. Ashley Robinson held her own in the field events placing 16th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 37’1.75”ft. the men finished the meet with two All-Americans in the field events.

Irayjuan White finished 7th overall in the high jump clearing the bar at 6’7.5”. Jeremiah Saintil also place 7th in the triple jump with a personal best of 48’7.25 ft, a nearly 2 ft difference from his previous personal best. Rasmus Wright finished 12th overall in the 400 hurdles with a time of 54.68. Also the means 4x400 team completed the season 12th in the nation with a time of 3:15.77.

Allen Red Devils track and field are excited about their performances during the 2022 track and field season and will look to continue their success next year.
