Adji Mbaye Signs with Rust College

Sophomore standout and KJCCC Third Team All-Conference Selection Adjaratou (Adji) Mbaye, has signed a National Letter of Intent with Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Adji averaged 11pts and 7rbs a game while shooting 70% from the FT line last year as she helped change the trajectory of the Women’s basketball program at Allen County. Adji became a dominant force in the lane defensively as she blocked shots, changed shots and cleaned the backboard with her defensive rebounding.

“Adji made incredible progress and improved her game last year to become a leading scorer and rebounder for our team. Not only was she a go-to scorer, she also was great at finding the open guard when opponents would double-team her defensively. Adji also was a great team leader for our young ball club and a dedicated student in the classroom. Rust College is getting a great young woman and a strong post player. She will be hard to replace but, with all of our players, we wish her nothing but the best and look forward to seeing her success in the future.”
