Women Fall to Cloud

The ladies traveled this evening to take on Cloud for another conference matchup. The ladies would get off to an extremely slow start offensively and not be able to find their rhythm. Courtney Crippen would be the lone spark in the first half as she would be able to attack the defense and get easy buckets at the rim. However, the lack of rebounding would plague the ladies in the first half as Cloud would grab second chance after second chance for easy points. Their key player would have 16 points in the first half along with 14 offensive rebounds. Even with the lack of execution, The ladies would only be down 12 at the break 26-38.

The second half would be better as the ladies would find some intensity on defense with their press that would fuel their offensive game. Brandi Jordan would get going in the second half with her defensive pressure and attacks off the dribble. Gabby Guzman would also hit a couple of big threes to keep the game at a 10 point lead in the fourth. However, the strong inside game of Cloud would not be matched. The ladies would not cut into the lead Cloud built early in the first half. Cloud continued to have easy put backs and take the victory 82-68. The ladies will be back in action at home on Saturday at 2pm.

The ladies were led by Courtney Crippen with 14, Brandi Jordan added 11 while Gabby Guzman and Ariel Walker each had 8.
