Tonight the ladies took on #13 ranked Labette at home in a true dog fight! Going into the game, the Devils knew it would be up-tempo and in your face pressure! Labette had a size advantage in the post and speed overall from their guards! However, the game plan was to keep their cool and let the playing do the talking and it did JUST THAT!! The ladies got off to a great start from Jakira Wilson and Gabby Guzman. Gabby would be a huge spark from beyond the arc as Labette would have no answer from her. Jakira would have them face-guard her most of the game with no success! She would attack the basket and continue to have her streak as a sophomore continue! The ladies would be back and forth the entire first half with Labette as is would be all tied up at 28 going into halftime.

The third quarter was the same song and dance for the ladies. The full court pressure would not rattle the girls as they continued to break it. Zoe Marshall and Trinity Tillis would be huge difference makers as the game went on! Labette would not be able to score from the inside with the bigs clogging up the middle and finally hitting the boards. At the end of the third quarter, the game would still be knotted up at 47! 

The fourth quarter is where the ladies would separate themselves! The fight and team effort was unbelievable! After Coach Janzen received her first technical of the year, the girls would go on an 8 point run led by Jakira Wilson. The ladies would not look back from this cushion! A true fight to the end would be in favor of the Devils 71-61. 

The ladies effort and fight was truly something to experience. The ladies had each other's back along with the coach's! Jakira Wilson led the way with 24 points followed by Gabby Guzman with 14 and Zoe Marshall with 11. Thank you to everyone for your support again! The ladies head to Tonkawa, Oklahoma this weekend for two games in their tournament! Will keep you updated!
