GAME ONE vs HESSTON COLLOGE

Hesston College Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

The Red Devils watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 20-4 loss to Hesston College on Saturday, March 26th in game one.

Allen struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hesston College, giving up 20 runs.

The Red Devils tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Haley Gedrose had a three run home run in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Hesston College scored 12 runs in the fourth inning.

Makayla McGinnis took the loss for the Red Devils. The righty surrendered eight runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out three.

Mikayla Long, Lacey Stamper, Aubrey Willis, and Gedrose each collected one hit to lead the Red Devils. The Red Devils were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Morgan Baska made the most plays with six.

GAME TWO vs HESSTON COLLEGE

Skyler Jackson Drives In Six As Allen Defeats Hesston College in Game Two

Skyler Jackson drove in six runs on two hits to lead the Red Devils past Hesston College 8-4 in game two. Jackson drove in runs on a single in the second and a grand slam in the third.

Allen earned the victory despite allowing Hesston College to score three runs in the third inning.

The Red Devils got things started in the second inning. They scored two runs when Jackson singled to right field.

Allen pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Jackson homered on a 1-0 count, scoring four runs.

Jackson was also credited with the victory for the Red Devils. Jackson surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Allen totaled ten hits in the game. Alayna Brown, Haley Gedrose, and Jackson each managed multiple hits for Red Devils. Jackson, Gedrose, and Brown all had two hits to lead the Red Devils.

Allen Softball is now 9-13 overall on the season and 4-4 in conference play. They are on the road this week as they go to Concordia, KS to take on Cloud CC on Thursday, March 31st at 2:00 & 4:00p and then to Chanute, KS to take on conference rival Neosho CC on Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 & 3:00p.
