2017 KJCCC D2 Softball Players of the Week, Week 2

Batting leadoff, Winter Henry set the tone while helping Allen to a record of 3-1 on the week. Her versatility is key on defense as she is able to play short stop, outfield and first base. At the plate she is hard to defend due to her abilities to play the short game and also hit for power. In four games she went 8-for-16 with two triples, four stolen bases, seven runs scored and six runs batted in.

Cloud County freshman Jordan Ummel had a solid beginning to her collegiate career as the right-hander pitched 10 innings with a 2.10 ERA over two starts at the Cowtown Classic. She earned her first collegiate win on February 18, allowing one earned run in a complete game victory over Central Nebraska. Ummel struck out three and did not walk a batter in the 5-3 win. Overall, Ummel went 1-1 in 10 innings pitched at the Classic.
