The Lady Red Devils jump on Cottey College early and coast to 25-3 win

The Lady Red Devils jumped out to an early lead on Cottey College and captured a 25-3 victory on Tuesday at Nevada, MO.

With 16 runs in the first three innings, The Lady Red Devils left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A groundout by Emmy McManigal, an RBI single by Baileigh Rager, and a two-run double by Raegan Beckley during the first inning and an RBI triple by Breanna Dinkel and a groundout by McManigal in the second inning fueled The Lady Red Devils' offense early.

Marissa Lilly racked up three RBIs on four hits for The Lady Red Devils. She doubled in the third inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Beckley got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed one run over two innings. Beckley struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

The Lady Red Devils easily handled Cottey College pitching as 10 hitters combined for 24 hits, 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored.

Samantha Batchelder ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 25 runs in five innings, walked two and struck out three.
