Men's Soccer Takes Down Hesston

The men's soccer team kept their record unblemished in the conference/region, with a 1-0 victory on Saturday night at Hesston.  The Red Devils controlled the game and outshot Hesston 10-3 on shots on goal, the Devils had many chances to score in the first half but could not finish any of them.  The score at halftime was 0-0, Allen came out in the second half and peppered the Larks goal, but the Hesston goalkeeper made some unbelievable saves to keep the shutout.  Until the 70th minute when Hingis Moremi served up a brilliant cross to the back post that Tiago Troyano headed home to put the Devils on top 1-0. 

Allen created several more chances and had a penalty kick saved with about 10 minutes left in the game that would of sealed the victory.  In the end the Devils were able to secure the shutout and keep Hesston from scoring to finish 1-0.  Ajay Murray recorded his 4th clean sheet on the season and hasn't been scored on in over 270 minutes.  The devils record is now 4-1 and 3-0 in conference/region. 

The Allen Men's soccer team is back in action on Wednesday, April 21st when they travel to Beatrice to play Southeast, Nebraska.
