Men's Soccer Takes Down Central

The Allen Men's soccer team won their first region/conference game on Saturday April, 10th against Central Community College out of Nebraska 1-0.  The Devils controlled the possession and the scoring chances in the game, taking 20 shots with 8 of them on goal.  The raiders only had 4 shots, with only one of them being on frame.  The wind was a big factor on the day, with gusts up to 50 MPH, Allen was against the wind in the first half but will still able to control the game.  They created many chances, but could not find the back of the net, so the score at half was 0-0.

The second half was much of the same, with the Devils controlling the ball and the chances.  Allen had several great opportunities to score, but could not find the goal.  With 18:59 left on the clock, Payge Sinclair slipped a ball past the backline to Jordan Mase, who finished it in the side netting to take the 1-0 lead.  Allen would have a couple more chances to add to their lead before time expired, but could not. Ajay Murray played in goal to record his second clean sheet on the year, he had 5 saves on the day.

The men will be back in action on Wednesday at home at 4pm against Pratt Community college.
