Six KJCCC Women's Soccer Teams Ranked In First NJCAA Regular Season Polls

CHARLOTTE, NC ? With two weeks of action complete, the NJCAA has released the first NJCAA Women?s Soccer rankings of the 2025 regular season with six Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools ranked in the latest top 20 polls.

Within the polls are three KJCCC D1 women?s soccer and three KJCCC D2 women?s soccer teams, with each poll having a KJCCC representative ranked within the top five. The highest-ranked KJCCC team in either poll is Johnson County, as the Cavaliers maintain their number two preseason ranking after starting the year with a pair of wins to trail only defending National Champion and number one-ranked Northwest Mississippi Community College in the rankings. Kansas City Kansas Community College maintains their top 10 ranking in the poll despite dropping a match at Morton College in the opening weekend of the season as the Blue Devils are ranked number 10 with a 2-1-0 overall record heading into a road match at Metropolitan Community College on Wednesday. Joining the rankings after getting off to a 3-1 start this year is Allen Community College with the Red Devils holding the number 19 ranking as their only loss came in the season opener to NJCAA Division 3 number three ranked Dallas College Brookhaven.

A shuffle of KJCCC teams took place in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Women?s Soccer poll, with Cowley falling four spots in the first regular season poll as the lone ranked team that has yet to play a match this year and is ranked number 11 heading into their season opener on Thursday at number three Seminole State College. Making a three-spot improvement in the rankings was Hutchinson as the Blue Dragons have won each of their first three matches of the year which included a top 15 matchup with Trinity Valley Community College last week while Butler to number 19 following a 1-3 start that saw all three of their losses come to teams ranked in the top six of the first regular season rankings.

On the schedule this week is the start of KJCCC D2 play on Saturday, September 6th when Neosho County hosts Allen and Highland hosts Pratt to kick off Region 6/9 play for the six KJCCC D2 women?s soccer teams. As for KJCCC D1 women?s soccer games, Cowley is at Seminole State on Thursday for the first of three ranked matchups this week for KJCCC D1 teams. The remaining ranked matchups will both feature number 19 Butler as the Grizzlies play Friday night at number seven Iowa Western before heading to number 18 Lewis & Clark Community College on Sunday.
