Daniel Freeman II begins his first season as Assistant Coach with the Red Devil Baseball Program. Daniel was a member of both the baseball and basketball teams while attending Ottawa University, pursuing a degree in Sports Management from 2016 - 2019. While at Ottawa, Freeman gave lessons as well as coached several teams for the Between The Lines (BTL) Facility.  After Ottawa, his collegiate coaching journey began at Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC). He was responsible for base running and infielders. 

Overall, Coach Freeman brings Six years of coaching experience to the Red Devils. Three of those years at the Junior College Level. In 2020, the KCKCC Blue Devils' record was 16-4 before the COVID shutdown.

In 2021, Coach Freeman helped KCKCC achieve a 32-20 record before losing in the Region VI Tournament. During this season, he coached seven All-Conference players, two Gold Glove recipients, and a National Gold Glove Winner. 

In the 2022 season, Coach Freeman was essential in assisting the KCKCC Blue Devils to an overall 50-12 record before falling short in the Region VI Tournament Championship Game. However, the team led the conference in fielding percentage with .976. There were nine All-Conference players and one Gold Glove recipient. 

Coach Freeman is excited to join the Allen County Community College Red Devils, and looks forward to working with and developing quality players, using his e3 philosophy he learned from Ottawa. e3 stands for Energy/Effort/Enthusiasm.
