Allen Community College continues climbing the Jayhawk Conference standings after holding on for an 81-64 victory over Hesston College Saturday.

After going into halftime leading 39-22, the Red Devils maintained their 17-point advantage through the final whistle as they improved their overall record to 10-12 and tied with Highland for third in the conference at 5-4.

Guard Tyler Pinder netted a team-leading 23 points while guard Mike Smith came off the bench for 17 and guard Malachi Schilreff scored 14. Schilreff also had a team-leading two blocks and tied guard Javontae Costner for the team lead in rebounds with seven each.

Although climbing the conference standings, the 2-7 archrival Neosho County Panthers hope to play spoiler when they come to town Wednesday with an 8 p.m. tipoff.
