The Allen Red Devils traveled to Parsons to take on Labette in their first conference match. Allen easily handled the Cardinals in sets 1 and 3 but kept it interestingly close in set 2. The Devils would take the match with scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-15. Allen would again have a balanced attack from the front row with 8 kills apiece coming from Brittney Eskridge and Samantha Alexander, 7 kills from Adriana Santiago, and 5 from Aricah McCall. Laia Jaca again ran the offense seamlessly dishing out 27 assists in the 3 set win. Back row defense was led by Jaca with 15 digs and Celymar Cabranes with 10. Alejandra Handie shut down Labette's best attacker with 6 solo blocks!
Allen Volleyball now travels to Texas today to face some out of state teams on Friday and Saturday. The Devils home opener is against #7 ranked Cowley on Monday.
