Allen traveled up to Springfield, IL this weekend for the Lincoln Land tournament.  The Devils knew they had tough competition going in, including two nationally ranked teams.  The first night, Allen took on Sauk Valley (12th) and barely fell short each match, losing in 3.    Allen played three matches in a row on Saturday, starting with Lincoln Land (5th).  The Devils started slow in the first match, losing 17-25.  They battled back for the next two sets but again coming up short, 22-25 in both.  The Devils turned things around the next match, defeating John A. Logan in five sets.  The last game was point for point, but being the third set, the devils ran out of gas and fell to Kankakee in three.

Allen Volleyball will travel to Ottawa tomorrow to battle Ottawa JV.
