The Red Devils extended their winning streak to 3 games now with a hard fought 3-2 win over KCK last night. Allen struggled to find their rhythm early on in the game, but with just under 7 minutes left in the first half, Sophomore Captain Abbey Hand played a brilliant ball in behind the KCK back line that Leigh-Anne Bartlett met just before the goalkeeper to put it in the back of the net and give the Red Devils the 1-0 lead at halftime.

KCK struck first in the second half just 7 minutes in though to tie the game 1-1. The Red Devils then battled back to take the lead again with 21:00 minutes to go when Bartlett was played through by Freshman Hailey Gonzalez and she calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to give restore the Red Devils 1 goal lead. But KCK came back again just 5 minutes later to tie it again at 2-2.

Allen had the run of play in the second half and continued to get chances on goal. Then with under 3 minutes remaining in the match, Gonzalez combined nicely with fellow Freshman Hailey Jones and Gonzalez put the game winning goal over the head of the KCK goalkeeper. Freshman Morgan Cossairt played the full 90 in goal again, making 5 saves. The Red Devils are now 7-6 on the season, and 4-4 in conference play. They are in action again on Saturday at 2:00pm vs Coffeyville in a crucial conference matchup.
