Rachel Janzen originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma enters her second season as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Allen Community College. Janzen served as the assistant women's basketball coach at Allen for 4 seasons before becoming the head coach.

Prior to Allen, Janzen was the Assistant Coach at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK where the team went 24-10 and won the Central Region Tournament, followed by winning the NCCAA National Championship. 

Janzen was very familiar to SNU as she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education in 2007 while playing collegiate basketball. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was part of the National Championship team in 2004. Janzen obtained her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Eastern New Mexico University in 2013.

Janzen also had a 4 year stint as the Assistant Coach at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in which she was in charge of recruiting, guard/player development, film exchange and other coaching responsibilities. 

Last year Janzen focused her time on recruitment and is excited to continue building the women’s basketball program here at Allen.
