The Allen Lady Red Devils gained their first win in KJCCC conference play on Saturday, taking a win over Hesston College. The Lady Red Devils were able to control the lead much of the game, ending the game with a final score of 60-52.  

Freshman Naomi Smith led the Lady Red Devils in scoring with 15 points and 6 steals, to go along with 5 rebounds. Freshman Clara Romero had 10 rebounds and 9 points, she was only one point shy of a double-double. Sophomore Adji Mbaye helped control the boards for the Lady Red Devils, pulling down 7 rebounds and scoring 8 points. The Lady Red Devils out rebounded Hesston College by 10 rebounds.

The Lady Red Devils also had contributions from freshman guards Dalye Hamelton and Alayjha Bayonne, who had 7 points and 6 points each. Sophomore guard Hallie Reed went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line late in the 4th quarter, helping the Lady Red Devils maintain their lead to close out the game. ​
