The Lady Devils were finally back in action on Saturday against Ozark Christian. The ladies came out with a very strong start as they would quickly find themselves up 17-6 over Ozark. Courtney Crippen would have a big game both on defense and offense. She would be able to break down the defense easily and get to the basket. Alejandra Handie would also have a big impact with her inside game. Ozark would not be able to stop her in the paint. The ladies would keep the lead into halftime 36-24.
In the second half, the ladies would seem to "coast" the rest of the way. Gabby Guzman would get going in the third quarter to extend the lead for the ladies. She would have several "and-1" opportunities with her aggressive attacks on offense. She would also make crucial free throws and connect on 9/10. The ladies would lead by 16 most of the way and end up taking the win 80-68. The ladies were led by Guzman with 22, Crippen with 18 and Handie with 13.
The ladies are back in action tonight on their home floor at 530pm. Come out and support as they look to sweep Ft Scott on the season.
