The ladies traveled to Dodge City this afternoon for another conference matchup. The ladies would get off to a great start as Kam Summons would lead the way with her attacks on offense. She would also be a huge spark on defense as she would pick-pocket several guards for easy transition points. The ladies would trail at the end of the first quarter 11-13. 

The second quarter would be ugly as the ladies would struggle to score. It would be a very low 7 point quarter for them as they would not take good shots or attack as they did in the first. This allowed Dodge to take a 9 point lead into halftime.

The second half would be strong for the ladies as they would throw a press at Dodge and rattle them for turnover after turnover to get back into the game. Akia Andrews cane up big on defense as she had deflections for steals. Kam Summons continued to have multiple steals in the press. She would be all over the floor on defense the entire game. Late in the fourth quarter, the ladies would take their first lead 45-44 with just over 5 minutes to go in the game. Kori Seals came up big late in the game as she worked in the post and would get fouled for easy points from the free throw line. The lead would change 8 times in the remaining 5 minutes of the game. The officiating then would take over the game in favor of Dodge as the same pressure the ladies applied would suddenly be called for fouls. Dodge would take a 4 point lead as the ladies would have to foul to try and extend the game with possessions. However, Dodge would not miss any free throws. The ladies would fall 52-61. 

The lack of scoring in the second quarter would be the downfall. However, the ladies never quit and played extremely hard in the second half. The press was executed perfectly with their intensity. The ladies were led with a monster game from Kam Summons who had a TRIPLE-DOUBLE with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals!! Akia Andrews and Kori Seals each added 9 points. The ladies will be at home Wednesday against Hutch. See you then!
