The Lady Red Devils hosted the big Neosho rival on Saturday. The ladies had some revenge in their pocket going into this game and they started off the game proving it. The ladies would get off to a quick 11-2 lead by attacking Neosho on both ends of the floor! Tamera Shaver led the charge on the defensive end with 3 steals in the first half. Destiny Pittman would be the spark on offense as she would get quick transition points on great passes from teammates Tamera Shaver and Kam Summons. The ladies played a great first half of team basketball and their pressure defense would give them the lead 34-27 going into the locker room.
In the second half, the ladies would extend their lead and never look back. They continued to rattle the Panthers with their intensity. Kyeanna Kincade would come in and make a huge impact on the offensive glass and have multiple and-1 opportunities. Akia Andrews also had a monster half as she began attacking the heart of the Neosho defense. She led the front line of the press for the ladies which created multiple steals for the guards to convert to easy points. The ladies continued to strike the Panthers and would take a big victory 82-62.
A great overal team effort was seen in this game. The ladies were led by the strong performance by Akia Andrews with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Destiny Pittman added 14 points while Kyeanna Kincade had 11 points and 6 rebounds. Tamera Shaver and Kam Summons led the defense as they combined for 10 steals and 10 assists in the game!
