The Lady Devils faced Pratt College tonight after coming off a non-conference win against Cottey college on Monday night. The ladies started with great defensive intensity and would rattle Pratt in their half court offense. Josie Reilly led the energy by diving on the floor and making all the hustle plays. The ladies also handled the press Pratt would throw at them with poise and confidence. The ladies got off to a hot shooting night from Haley Wilson and Ashley Sally beyond the arc. This would lead to a halftime lead of 37-27 for the Lady Devils.
The second half would prove to be much of the same story for the ladies. Damonica Franklin would come up big in the second half on the boards and ended up grabbing 12 rebounds. Mckena Arlt also had big time minutes in the fourth quarter and hit crucial shots down the stretch. Rachael Bruce came in and also made several crucial plays that led to buckets for the Lady Devils. The ladies played unselfish basketball and would hold the lead for the entire second half. The ladies came up with a big victory over Pratt by a final score 88-80.
Everyone contributed in this game to get the victory. This was the highest scoring game for the ladies this season (and last season I might add). The ladies were led by Haley Wilson with 21 points, Ashley Sally added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Ashley Washington added 12 points, and Mckena Arlt and Josie Reilly each added 10 points.
This is the first time in 4 years that the ladies have won back to back games. The ladies will travel this weekend to try and make it a 3 game winning streak against Cowley Saturday night.
