Grizzlies over Red Devils

The ladies traveled to Butler this evening to take on the Grizzlies. The ladies would not find points on the board until 2 minutes left in the first quarter which led to a quick deficit of 14-0. The ladies would end the quarter down 5-18. 

 

The lack of effort and execution on offense combined with no defensive rebounding would continue throughout the game. The Grizzlies would grab 16 offensive rebounds in the first half and would extend their lead at halftime to 40-15.

 

The ladies would come out in the third quarter and find a way to score and actually won the quarter 18-12 but still trailed Butler by too big of a margin 52-33. The fourth quarter would be a struggle again for the ladies as turnovers plagued would again the offense. The ladies ended the game with 26 turnovers and their biggest conference loss of the season 46-81. 

 

It was a slow offensive night for everyone. The ladies were led by Ashley Washington and Haley Wilson who each had 8 points. Zasha Taylor, Mckena Arlt and Ashley Sally each added 6. 

 

The ladies will play at home Saturday against Independence at 2pm.
