The Lady Red Devils take down Pratt 77-68

The Lady Red Devils traveled to Pratt this evening for another conference matchup. The ladies would dominate the game from the tip and would never look back. The unselfish play was evident from the start. The first half was led by Ashley Sally who had a huge game on offense by leading the team in scoring and creating for her teammates off the dribble. Damonica Franklin would also have a big first half grabbing rebounds and playing strong both on offense and defense.

The ladies would have no problem breaking the pressure of Pratt and played the best half of basketball they have all season. Not only did they play aggressive and attacked on the offensive end, They also shared the ball and played with confidence. This led to a quick first quarter run 30-9. The ladies played a strong zone defense to disrupt Pratts big posts and take Them out of their game. Zasha Taylor led the defensive charge in the half with her aggressive play. The halftime score would be a nice margin for the ladies of 40-25.

The second half was much of the same story for the ladies as more of them would get hot shooting and join in the shared scoring. Mckena Arlt came in and played big minutes and knocked down 3/5 from 3. The score remained a 12-15 point lead the entire second half. The ladies missed crucial free throws but continued to play hard down the stretch. The Red Devils would hold on to take the win 77-68. This was a huge road (and conference) win for them.

Not only was it a big win, the ladies had 5 in double figures and 1 with a double-double (more stats that reveal how they played together). Ashley Sally led all with 18 points and 8 assists. Mckena Arlt and Haley Wilson each added 15 points. Zasha Taylor added 11 points and Damonica Franklin added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The ladies will face Cowley at home this Saturday at 2pm.
