GAME ONE

Stuewe's Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Red Devils's Victory Over KCKCC

Red Devils defeated KCKCC 9-8 on Thursday, April 7th in game one thanks to a walk-off grand slam. Allen trailed 8-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Kinsey Stuewe homered on a 2-2 count, scoring four runs.

Stuewe led the Red Devils to victory by driving in four runs. Stuewe went 2-for-3 at the plate. Stuewe drove in runs on a grand slam in the seventh.

Allen opened up an early lead in the first inning when Madelynn Collins singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, KCKCC tied things up at four, scoring three runs total in the inning.

Collins earned the victory on the rubber for the Red Devils. The righty allowed ten hits and eight runs over seven innings, striking out four.

The Red Devils smacked two home runs on the day. Mikayla Long went yard in the first inning. Stuewe had a four bagger in the seventh inning.

The Red Devils collected seven hits. Long and Stuewe each had multiple hits for Allen. Stuewe and Long each collected two hits to lead the Red Devils.

GAME TWO

KCKCC Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

The Red Devils fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-1 loss to KCKCC in game two. Allen struggled to contain the high-powered offense of KCKCC, giving up 13 runs.

KCKCC got things moving in the first inning scoring 4 runs.

Makayla McGinnis took the loss for Red Devils. The right-hander surrendered ten runs on 12 hits over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Skyler Jackson started the game for the Red Devils before being taken out of the game for an injury to the left knee. The pitcher allowed three runs on three hits and walked zero

Lacey Stamper, Robin Todd, and Alayna Brown each collected one hit to lead the Red Devils.

Allen Softball is back in action Saturday, April 9th as they travel to Parsons, KS to take on Labette CC in a conference double header at 2:00 & 4:00pm.
