Red Devils Split with #16 Neosho

GAME ONE

Red Devils stole the lead late and defeated Neosho 8-5 on Tuesday, April 27th in game one. The game was tied at three with the Red Devils batting in the bottom of the sixth when Alayna Brown singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Neosho got things started in the first inning when Katie Boline grounded out, scoring one run.

Madelynn Collins pitched the Red Devils to victory. Collins lasted all seven innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out two.

Lauren Fuller took the loss for Neosho. Fuller surrendered three runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out one and walking zero.

The Red Devils racked up 12 hits. Hailee Lundine, Kinsey Stuewe, and Makayla Howard all managed multiple hits for the Red Devils. Howard, Stuewe, and Lundine each collected two hits to lead the Red Devils.

Espy Daniels led Neosho with two hits in four at bats.

 

GAME TWO

Tuesday's game two against Neosho was a heartbreaker for the Red Devils, as they lost the lead late in a 6-4 defeat. Neosho was down 4-2 in the top of the sixth inning when Kirsten Birdwell doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.

Neosho got on the board in the first inning. Hannah Duin's sac fly scored one run for Neosho.

Red Devils knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning, when Kinsey Stuewe singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Olivia Cummings took the win for Neosho. She surrendered four runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Cynae Wiley took the loss for the Red Devils. Wiley allowed nine hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Stuewe led Red Devils with two hits in two at bats.
