Lady Red Devils Claim a Split Over North Dakota State College of Science

In game one, the Red Devils lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat to North Dakota State College of Science on Thursday, March 15th. Red Devils lost despite out-hitting North Dakota State College of Science ten to eight.

Dela Boyd took the loss for the Red Devils. She went three and a third innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out two. Courtney Gard started the game for the Red Devils. She surrendered two runs on one hit over three innings, striking out two.

Ashlie Shields went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Red Devils in hits.

In game two, the Red Devils outscored North Dakota State College of Science to take the victory to the tune of 5-1. In the first inning, Red Devils got their offense started by scoring two runs. The Red Devils scored three runs in the fourth inning. Abby Walker, Ashlie Shields, and Winter Henry all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Walker led things off on the mound for the Red Devils. She went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out five and walking one.

Darby Lewis led Red Devils with two hits in three at bats.
