The Lady Red Devils Grab Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Cloud County Community College

The Lady Red Devils took the lead late and defeated Cloud County Community College 6-2 on Tuesday. The Lady Red Devils were down 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning when Morgan Wayman homered off of Sarah Teufel, driving in three runs.

Cloud County Community College took an early lead in the second inning. With zero outs in the second inning Erin King drove in one run when she homered.

Sierra Thompson earned the win for The Lady Red Devils. She tossed seven innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, and walking one. Sarah Teufel took the loss for Cloud County Community College. She threw five innings, allowing four runs, seven hits, striking out five, and walking one.

Home runs for Cloud County Community College came when Elise Oberlechner homered in the fourth inning and King homered in the second inning.

The Lady Red Devils had ten hits in the game. Caitlin Burns, Julia Keating, and Winter Henry each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Henry, Keating, and Burns each collected two hits to lead The Lady Red Devils.
