The Lady Red Devils Go Down on Final Play Against Cloud County Community College

The Lady Red Devils fell to Cloud County Community College 11-9 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at nine with Cloud County Community College batting in the bottom of the eighth when Autumn Adams homered off of Raegan Beckley, driving in two runs.

Despite the loss, The Lady Red Devils did collect 14 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Cloud County Community College had 18 hits on the way to victory.

Cloud County Community College captured the lead in the first inning. Cloud County Community College scored one run when Erin King doubled with one out in the first inning.

Cloud County Community College evened things up at nine in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jaycee Worrell drove in two when she singled in the seventh inning.

The Lady Red Devils scored three runs in the sixth inning. The Lady Red Devils scored on a single by Chelsea Lake and a double by Julia Keating.

Cloud County Community College scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for Cloud County Community College came thanks to a triple by Worrell and a double by King.

Jordan Ummel earned the win for Cloud County Community College. She threw eight innings, giving up nine runs, 14 hits, and striking out ten. Raegan Beckley took the loss for The Lady Red Devils. She pitched seven and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs, 18 hits, and striking out three.

Sarah Eckart, Winter Henry, Morgan Wayman, and Lake each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Henry and Eckart each managed three hits to lead The Lady Red Devils.

Worrell, King, Elise Oberlechner, Autumn Adams, Leslie Schuetz, Samantha Schafer, and Marissa Wright each collected multiple hits for Cloud County Community College. Worrell went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Cloud County Community College in hits.
