Big Second Inning Gives The Lady Red Devils Win Over Nationally Ranked Highland Community College

An eight-run second inning led The Lady Red Devils to a 9-1 victory on Tuesday. The Lady Red Devils's big inning was driven by a error, a single by Winter Henry, a double by Chelsea Lake, a double by Morgan Wayman, and a home run by Marissa Lilly.

Highland Community College took an early lead in the first inning. Kayla Ross drove in a run when she walked with the bases loaded.

The Lady Red Devils took the lead for good with eight runs in the second inning. In the second there was an error, scoring two runs, Winter Henry singled off of Julisa Ortega, driving in one run, Chelsea Lake doubled off of Ortega, driving in two runs, Morgan Wayman doubled off of Ortega, driving in one run, and Marissa Lilly homered off of Ortega, driving in two runs.

Raegan Beckley earned the win for The Lady Red Devils. She went five innings, allowing one run, six hits, and striking out three. Ortega took the loss for Highland Community College. She threw five innings, allowing nine runs, eight hits, striking out five, and walking zero.

Lilly led The Lady Red Devils with three runs batted in. She went 3-for-3 on the day. The Lady Red Devils was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Caitlin Burns had the most chances in the field with four.
