The Lady Red Devils Grab the Lead in the Fifth Inning for Victory Over Cloud County Community College

The Lady Red Devils took the lead late in the game in a 6-1 victory over Cloud County Community College on Saturday. The game was tied at one with The Lady Red Devils batting in the bottom of the fifth when a runner stole home.

Cloud County Community College captured the lead in the first inning. Cloud County Community College scored one run when Erin King singled with two outs in the first inning.

In the bottom of the second inning, The Lady Red Devils tied things up at one. A sacrifice bunt by Winter Henry scored one run for The Lady Red Devils.

Sierra Thompson earned the win for The Lady Red Devils. She pitched seven innings, allowing one run, six hits, striking out one, and walking one. Sarah Teufel took the loss for Cloud County Community College. She tossed six innings, allowing six runs, six hits, and striking out one.

The Lady Red Devils collected six hits. Morgan Wayman and Henry each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Henry and Wayman each collected two hits to lead The Lady Red Devils. Sarah Eckart led The Lady Red Devils with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
