The Lady Red Devils fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-4 loss to Hutchinson Community College on Friday. Hutchinson Community College scored on a double by Kameron Pope, a single by Tori Caruthers, and a single by DJ Cannon in the first inning.

The Lady Red Devils captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Morgan Wayman drove in one run when she singled.

Hutchinson Community College took the lead for good with four runs in the first inning. In the first Kameron Pope doubled off of Sierra Thompson, driving in two runs, Tori Caruthers singled off of Thompson, driving in one run, and DJ Cannon singled off of Thompson, driving in one run.

Kylie Finley earned the win for Hutchinson Community College. She pitched five and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs, eight hits, and walking one. Thompson took the loss for The Lady Red Devils. She tossed one inning, surrendering four runs, six hits, and walking zero.

The Lady Red Devils collected eight hits. Winter Henry and Thompson each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Henry went 3-for-4 at the plate as she led the team with three runs batted in. The Lady Red Devils didn't commit a single error in the field. Thompson had four chances in the field, the most on the team.

Hutchinson Community College had 19 hits in the game. Izzy Godinez, Hannah Danielson, Caruthers, Pope, Ashton Reynolds, and Lexi Eisenbart each collected multiple hits for Hutchinson Community College. Pope led Hutchinson Community College with four runs batted in. She went 3-for-4 on the day.
