It came down to the last play, but The Lady Red Devils were on the wrong end of a 12-11 defeat to Hutchinson Community College on Friday. The game was tied at 11 with Hutchinson Community College batting in the bottom of the ninth when Kameron Pope doubled off of Dela Boyd, driving in one run.

Winter Henry drove in five runners in the loss. Henry drove in runs on a double in the first, a fielder's choice in the sixth, and a double in the seventh.

The Lady Red Devils captured the lead in the first inning. With one out in the first inning Chelsea Lake drove in one run when she doubled.

The Lady Red Devils knotted the game up at 11 in the top of the seventh inning. Henry drove in two when she doubled in the seventh inning.

Hutchinson Community College scored five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Hutchinson Community College came thanks to a home run by Molly Stephenson, a single by DJ Cannon, and a walk by Brooke Lee.

Tori Caruthers earned the win for Hutchinson Community College. She went five innings, giving up three runs, four hits, and striking out four. Cannon recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for Hutchinson Community College. Dela Boyd took the loss for The Lady Red Devils. She tossed three and a third innings, allowing two runs, six hits, and walking one.

Raegan Beckley started the game for The Lady Red Devils. She pitched five innings, giving up ten runs, and ten hits. Cannon started the game for Hutchinson Community College. She threw four innings, allowing eight runs, six hits, and striking out seven.

Home runs for Hutchinson Community College came when Stephenson homered in the sixth inning and Kameron Pope homered in the first inning.

The Lady Red Devils collected ten hits. Emma Broxterman, Lake, and Henry each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Henry, Lake, and Broxterman each managed two hits to lead The Lady Red Devils.

Hutchinson Community College had 16 hits in the game. Pope, Cannon, Hannah Danielson, Lexi Eisenbart, and Izzy Godinez each collected multiple hits for Hutchinson Community College.
