Rose State College Captures Lead Early to Defeat The Lady Red Devils

The Lady Red Devils fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-0 loss to Rose State College on Saturday. Rose State College took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Rose State College captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Kacey Taylor drove in two runs when she homered.

Rose State College scored four runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for Rose State College came thanks to a home run by Courtney Hickman and a stolen base by Bridget Gleason.

A single by Morgan Wayman in the second inning was a positive for The Lady Red Devils.

Hannah Pryoe earned the win for Rose State College. She pitched five innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, and striking out one. Sierra Thompson took the loss for The Lady Red Devils. She tossed one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, four hits, and walking zero.

Home runs for Rose State College came when Taylor homered in the first inning, Hickman homered in the fourth inning, and Gleason homered in the second and fourth innings.

Julia Keating and Wayman each managed one hit to lead The Lady Red Devils.

Gleason went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Rose State College in hits.
