The Lady Red Devils fall 5-4 to Johnson CCC

Ashley Womack had two extra base hits, but The Lady Red Devils still fell to Johnson CCC 5-4 in seven innings on Saturday at Topeka, KS.

Womack racked up four RBIs on two hits for The Lady Red Devils. She tripled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Kelsee Henry got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She allowed four runs over seven innings. She struck out three, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Baileigh Rager was charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The top of the first saw The Lady Red Devils take an early lead, 1-0. A triple by Womack, scoring Marissa Lilly started the inning off.

After a quick strike from The Lady Red Devils, Johnson CCC responded with three runs in the first. Johnson CCC scored on an RBI double by Hailey Cope, an error, and an RBI single by Taylor Hicks.

Johnson CCC stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring one run on an error.

One run in the top of the seventh helped The Lady Red Devils close its deficit to 5-4. A bases loaded walk by Womack sparked The Lady Red Devils' rally. Finally, Henry got Ali Morris to fly out to end the game.
