A tight game was decided in the eighth inning as The Lady Red Devils fell to Independence CC 4-2 in eight innings on Saturday.

Heather Breslin got the win for Independence CC. She allowed two runs over eight innings. She struck out five, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Raegan Beckley took the loss for The Lady Red Devils. She lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The game was scoreless until Independence CC broke the ice with one run in the fourth. Independence CC got on the board thanks to an RBI single by Hanna Harris.

Independence CC went up for good in the eighth, scoring two runs on a fielder's choice and an RBI single by Breanna Vest.
