The Lady Red Devils fall 7-4 to Cowley College

Ashley Womack did all she could to give The Lady Red Devils a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Cowley College, as The Lady Red Devils lost 7-4 in seven innings on Friday.

Womack did her best to jumpstart the offense for The Lady Red Devils, reaching base four times. She scored one run and had two RBIs. She doubled in the third inning.

Carly Gum got the win for Cowley College. She allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Gum struck out four, walked five and gave up nine hits.

Cowley College was sparked by Morgan Kirk and Ashley Mars, who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs.

Raegan Beckley was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out four.

The top of the first saw Cowley College take an early lead, 3-0. The Cowley College attack began with a single from Emilee Baker. A stolen base then moved Baker from first to second. More runs came home for Cowley College when Dillon scored on a two-run home run by Mars.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Cowley College scored one run on an RBI double by Kirk.

Cowley College tacked on another two runs in the seventh. A double by Kirk ignited the offense,, scoring Jolona Shield.
