The Lady Red Devils fall to Hesston College 7-2

The Lady Red Devils fell to Hesston College 7-2 on Saturday.

Riley Hannemann got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over seven innings. She struck out five, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Hesston College was sparked by Bailyn Piecewicz and Jerrica Brown, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.

Raegan Beckley couldn't get it done in the circle for The Lady Red Devils, taking a loss. She lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The lead stayed with Hesston College after the first, when it scored two runs on a two-run single by Dezz Bretado.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped The Lady Red Devils close its deficit to 4-1. An RBI single by Alana Renshaw sparked The Lady Red Devils' rally. Finally, Hannemann got Marissa Lilly to ground out to end the threat.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the sixth, The Lady Red Devils faced just a 4-2 deficit. An RBI single by Ali Morris triggered The Lady Red Devils' comeback. Hesston College stopped the rally after Hannemann got Madison McGinness to ground out.

Hesston College tacked on another three runs in the seventh. A single by Ally Steiner ignited the offense,, scoring Gabby Willis. That was followed up by Kendra Honeycutt's single, plating Steiner and Stasia Majerick.
