Hesston College falls 6-0 at the hands of The Lady Red Devils

The Lady Red Devils beat Hesston College on Saturday 6-0 in Iola, KS in seven innings.

The Lady Red Devils scored two runs in the fifth on The Lady Red Devils scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Morgan Wayman and an RBI single by Delaney Umholtz.

Marissa Lilly led The Lady Red Devils' offensive threat, as she got on base four times in the game. She singled in the first inning.

The Lady Red Devils' Baileigh Rager kept Hesston College off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out four.

Dakoda Lee ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out six.

The Lady Red Devils didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an error.

The Lady Red Devils brought home two runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the fourth, The Lady Red Devils scored on a two-run double by Ashley Womack, scoring Alana Renshaw and Lilly.
