Ashley Womack did all she could to give The Lady Red Devils a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Hutchinson CC, as The Lady Red Devils lost 7-3 in seven innings in Iola, KS on Friday.

Womack had a hot bat for The Lady Red Devils. Womack went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. She singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Holly Kelley got the win for Hutchinson CC. She allowed three runs over seven innings. She struck out nine, walked five and surrendered five hits.

Home runs for Hutchinson CC came when Tori Caruthers homered in the second and third innings and Sami Loos homered in the second and fifth innings.

Hutchinson CC was sparked by Loos and Caruthers, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.

Raegan Beckley was charged with the loss. She lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The game's last lead went to Hutchinson CC thanks to a second inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on two two-run blasts.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, The Lady Red Devils faced just a 4-1 deficit. An RBI single by Breanna Dinkel gave The Lady Red Devils life. Kelley ended the inning by getting Emmy McManigal to fly out.

Hutchinson CC added three more runs in the top of the fifth. A clutch wild pitch scored Kelley to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Loos' two-run home run, plating Kelcee Thompson.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped The Lady Red Devils close its deficit to 7-2. An RBI single by Womack triggered The Lady Red Devils' comeback. Hutchinson CC stopped the rally after Kelley got Baileigh Rager to fly out.
