Coffeyville CC falls 8-2 at the hands of The Lady Red Devils

The Lady Red Devils beat Coffeyville CC on Tuesday 8-2 in Iola, KS in seven innings.

The Lady Red Devils scored three runs in the fifth on The Lady Red Devils scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Emmy McManigal and a two-run error.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Lady Red Devils finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. The Lady Red Devils went up for good on an RBI single by Raegan Beckley off Madyson Smith, bringing home Morgan Wayman.

Beckley got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over seven innings. Beckley struck out two, walked one and gave up five hits.

Smith ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Lady Red Devils survived Coffeyville CC's surge and put up one run of its own in the third. The Lady Red Devils scored on a groundout by Alana Renshaw.

The Lady Red Devils never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning. The runs piled on thanks to an RBI double by Wayman.
