The Lady Red Devils survives Cloud College 5-4 thanks to Mykenna Sharp-Hadl's late-game heroics

Mykenna Sharp-Hadl drove in the go-ahead run to give The Lady Red Devils the lead in the eighth inning, as The Lady Red Devils hung on to beat Cloud College 5-4 on Saturday.

With the score tied at four, Sharp-Hadl came to the plate and singled.

Baileigh Rager kept Cloud College off the board during her 6 2/3 innings of work. Rager allowed five hits, two walks and struck out four.

Lexi Duhrkop was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed five runs.

The bottom of the second saw Cloud College take an early lead, 4-0. A solo blast by Duhrkop started the inning off. Cloud College added more runs when Larson scored on an RBI single by Jaycee Worrell and Booth and Shafer scored on a two-run double by Alison Rassette.

The Lady Red Devils brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the eighth. In the third, The Lady Red Devils scored on an RBI single by Marissa Lilly, bringing home Delaney Umholtz.
