Despite a big day at the dish from Morgan Wayman, who finished 2-2, The Lady Red Devils lost 8-0 to Highland CC at Iola, KS on Thursday.

Dominique Sprengers got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She tossed four innings of shutout ball. She struck out seven, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Highland CC was sparked by Henli Weaver and Lauren Crouch, who teamed up for three hits and five RBIs.

Raegan Beckley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.

Highland CC piled on six more runs in the top of the fifth. A home run by Crouch ignited the offense,, bringing home Katy Nordman, Morgan Balderas and Kenzie Garvin.
