All-around effort leads The Lady Red Devils past Missouri Valley College JV 10-2

Baileigh Rager powered The Lady Red Devils at the plate and in the circle Tuesday, willing The Lady Red Devils to a 10-2 victory over Missouri Valley College JV.

Rager racked up two RBIs on three hits for The Lady Red Devils. She homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.

Rager put together a nice outing. Rager gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during her five innings of work.

Six runs in the opening three innings allowed The Lady Red Devils to easily put away Missouri Valley College JV. A two-run home run by Ashley Womack and an RBI double by Madison McGinness during the first inning and a fielder's choice and an RBI double by Womack in the second inning supplied the early offense for The Lady Red Devils.

Andrea Modlin was charged with the loss. She allowed 10 runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out three.

The Lady Red Devils survived Missouri Valley College JV's surge and put up two runs of its own in the second.

The Lady Red Devils got one-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, The Lady Red Devils scored on a solo home run by Rager.

It didn't take long for The Lady Red Devils to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the fourth. The Lady Red Devils scored on a two-run single by Rager and a groundout by Mallory Roush.

The Lady Red Devils put up one more run in the bottom of the fifth when Mykenna Sharp-Hadl stole home.
