Lady Red Devils drop 10-1 game to North Central Texas College

Lady Red Devils wound up on the wrong side of a 10-1 score on Friday at The Cowtown Classic, tasting defeat at the hands of North Central Texas College.

Raegan Beckley was solid in the circle for the Lady Red Devils. She allowed four earned runs over 3 1/3 innings. Beckley gave up five hits while walking one and striking out none.

North Central Texas College's Maddie Horn, Brooke Ford, Samantha Maddin and Rylee Hodges combined for six hits and seven RBIs.

North Central Texas College stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Hodges and a two-run error.

North Central Texas College built upon its lead with two runs in the second. A sacrifice fly scored Maddin to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Hannah Cooper's single, bringing home Megan Durrante.

The lone run of the game for Allen crossed the plate in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Alana Renshaw.
