Lady Red Devils second-inning burst enough to top Ottawa JV, 10-2

An eight-run explosion in the second inning led Lady Red Devils to a 10-2 win in five innings over Ottawa JV at Iola, KS on Tuesday.

Lady Red Devils scored in the second on a steal of home by Mykenna Sharp-Hadl, a hit by pitch, a two-run double by Ashley Womack, , and a two-run double by Sharp-Hadl.

Sharp-Hadl racked up three RBIs on two hits for Lady Red Devils.

The top of the first saw Ottawa JV take an early lead, 2-0. Aryn Smith kicked things off for Ottawa JV with a single. A stolen base then moved Smith from first to second. More runs came home for Ottawa JV when Christian scored on a sacrifice fly by Sarah Shatford.

Lady Red Devils scored one run in the first inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fourth. In the first, Lady Red Devils scored on a steal of home, plating Alana Renshaw.
