Allen men beat Coffeyville Community College last night in Coffeyville 5-3. The Devils got the scoring going early with an own goal off a corner kick from Davi Studart to take the lead 1-0. Then in the 5th minute Davi Studart got free behind the defense and played a ball to the back post to Alejandro Cabrera who tapped it home to go up 2-0. Allen went up 3-0 when Jordan Mase finished a deflection off of a Roshod Nembhard shot in the 17th minute. The Devils were way to relaxed after taking such a big early lead and gave up two goals on counter attacks in the 24th minute and the 27th minute to make the score 3-2. The devils settled down and got the momentum back quick with a goal in the 33rd minute off a corner kick from Studart to Maynor Bonilla who headed in the back of the net. Jordan Mase put Allen up 5-2 with a 40th minute goal assisted by Roshod Nembhard.
The Devils controlled the pace of the game in the second half and had many opportunities to put the game out of reach, but couldn't find another goal. The Ravens scored a goal in the 70th minute to make the score 5-3, where the score would remain for the remainder of the game. The Devils had 20 shots on the night and 10 on goal, while having around 75% of the possession. Zakk Wilce and Ajay Murray split time in the net, making 7 saves combined. Allen will be back in action this Saturday at home against Neosho at 4pm.
