Allen Men's Soccer lost to Neosho 5-1 on Saturday in Chanute. The game was changed from Iola to Chanute due to field conditions, and the Devils came out sluggish and not ready to play. The Panthers got on the board quickly in the 2nd and 5th minutes when they were awarded 2 penalty kicks. They scored another in the 12th minute from a set piece from the top of the box, to make the score 3-0. The Devils got one back in the 23rd minute when Jordan Mase banged one home from a Roshod Nembhard assist.
Allen started to put the pressure on Neosho, but couldn't find a flow in the highly physical and competitive game. The Panthers added two more before halftime to make the score 5-1. Allen came out with a different attitude in the second half and had several chances to score, but couldn't finish the opportunities. Ajay Murray and Zakk Wilce both played in goal for the Devils, both making 2 saves each. The Devils will travel to KCK on Saturday to take on the Blue Devils at 7:30 pm.
