Allen Men's Soccer travelled to Coffeyville on Saturday 10/6 for a game against the Red Ravens. The Devils won 1-0 with an unassisted goal from Jeffrey Soto-Molina in the 25th minute. The game was back and forth for most of the first 20 mins and each team had great scoring chances. The Red Devils had a couple chances they should of capitalized on but couldn't find the back of the net. In the 24th minute Allen had a throw in deep in the attacking side of the field that was thrown into the box by Andrew Salazar, the ball was cleared away by the Red Ravens right to Soto-Molina who one time volleyed it into the net.
Weather started getting bad and it started to lightning, so the game was delayed with 16 minutes left in the first half. After about an hour delay the game was restarted and the Devils came out a little sluggish and gave up a couple of chances to the Ravens, but Zakk Wilce came up big to keep score at 1-0 at half. Allen controlled the second half for most of the time and should of added a couple more goals but couldn't put one away. Zakk Wilce played all 90 minutes in goal and made 7 saves to grab the shutout, the Red Devil men play next on Wednesday 10/10 at home against Neosho at 4pm.
